The World Trade Center's Heroic Rescue Dogs

Today for VPKC we would like to honor all the hero puppies that endured the rescue efforts in the tragedy of 9-11-09. Here is a wonderful article and pictorial of these heroes!
The World Trade Center's Heroic Rescue Dogs

We also want to honor the memory ,and take a moment of silence and prayer, for all that lost their lives in this horrible tragedy.

Dory and I have received a few questions about VPKC Fridays.
Feel free to click the link to the introductory post.

PeeEss...Mommy sent a "pee", I mean "PAY-pal" to Woodrow earlier this week for all of September's VPKC club donations. She has NOT made a card yet....I will get on her about that and have her do it SOON!!!

Hi Dory,

We give high fives to all the rescue doggies everywhere who work so hard to please their hoomans.

Very nice of you to donate to Woodrow. I'm gonna send him this week's Diggity Dawg reward. Mom was suppose to do it last week!

Hi Dory
What a lovely tribute and also good to remember the important part dogs played - both in terms of rescue but just as importantly in bringing comfort. It's a sad day as we look back and remember.

Ahh, we get it now, about VPKC Friday! Please can we be in the vampire club too and put your badge on our blog page? We live near Whitby where Count Dracula came to stay a long time ago so we would fit right in.
