The Verdict is in.....

Jakey here today, from the comfort of my pillow fort,  to shed some light on Mama's "trick question" on Wednesday!
Was I innocent or guilty for deading a stuffy???
Why innocent, of course!! I am the best behaved pup in the house!!

Once a month or so, Mama "gives" me a stuffy for my very own to ummmm,
"do with, what I will" is I believe how Mama put it.

She does this under strict supervision because, while I do not like to eat stuffy guts or body parts that I ravage,  a certain sister (remember, I have only ONE sister) will swallow any stuffy bit or fluff she can get her muzzle on!

I just the feel of ripping fabric and the feel of a bit of fluff between my toofers!

It usually only takes me 5 to 10 minutes (depending on stuffy size) and Mama says I get get a bit out of control.

Mama believes I may have more than a tad of terrier-ist in me (which I hope Finley will find endearing) because deading things makes me so very happy and proud of myself!
She says, I never ask for much, and I am usually so well behaved that a monthly deading isn't too much to ask for!

Remember,  Mama LET me do this, so I am not guilty this time!!
All that deading make a guy pretty sleepy though.....time for a nice nap!!

Do your peeps ever let you dead anything??

I are pretty shure deadin stuffies are right up Finley's alley - and I knows first hand!

Jakey, you seem to have more 'terrier' in you than I do! I am proud owner of a box of unleaded stuffies - only one or two have received the typical terrier treatment.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Please don't tell anyone else about my destuffing failures - it is an embarrassing thing for a terrier to admit...

We Beaglebratz agree with u - since your mom GAVE U that stuffy then by all meanz - U IZ INNOSENT! We just don't deaded much anymore - 'cept the couch an'we due that by layin'on it tue much - that'z what our mom sez. When we wuz younger, we deaded a little, egspeshally when we wuz young pupz. An'now that our mom iz retreded an'home with us more, we git tue play tug with her more with our stuffiez'n toyz an'b-sidez - she iz uzually watchin'us ALWAYZ tue make shure we don't deaded anything anhyway.

Well....we think you're a legend, a terrier legend. We love deadin' stuff. But we don't eat the guts, we leave them on the floor so SHE has a good time collecting them.

Well done Jakey, although it looks like it was hard (but enjoyable) work.

you have a brilliant momma... I agree when we can kill a stuffie we are satisfied and will not kill other things in the house. Good job, let it snow, let it snow let it snow :o)

You are so lucky to get dead time. We get to dead a lot.

It looks like a snowstorm when you are done with your work.

It sure was a trick question i knew you were guilty but now I know you were also innocent... Jake deads every toy he gets and since he is now alone, there is no problem. he gets about one toy a month... the good thing is, he likes to carry the dead gutless toys around, so his basket has dead things in it all the time.

My guys don't rip up their toys. Which is nice, but it means we must have 300 hundred dogs around the house!

oH JAKEY YOU ARE JUST TOO SWEET THAT LAST PHOTO IS PRECIOUS.
YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AROUND HERE? I SEE A BUG (USUALLY CRICKETS), I STALK SAID BUG, I WORRY IT TOO DEATH, I GIVE IT A SMACK OR TWO TO MAKE IT DIZZY THEN AND ONLY THEN DO I MEOW OUT LOUD TO THE TOP OF MY LUNGS (i have a very specific bug alert MOL). IT IS MOM'S JOB TO DEAD IT AFTER I HAVE HAD MY FUN. I DON'T DO ANY DIRTY WORK
Hugs Madi your bfff
PS thus far we are having sleet...burr but it is better than freezing rain

OH JAKEY... you have the BESTEST MOM in all of Blogville... OTHER MOTHERS should take lessons from HER>.. EXCEPT we do think that ONLY once a month is a bit... MINIMALISTIC... We believe it should be at LEAST once a WEEK. One NEEDS to keep their skills sharp.. and that requires PRACTICE ...

LOVE your PILLOW FORT..

Jakey your mom is wonderful. not like our mom - she keeps a sharp eye on the deading cause I eat the stuffings. If any stuffing starts leaking she takes the toy away :-(
in fact the other night I surgically removed Rudolphs remaining ear and before mom could figure out what I was chomping on I swallowed it! What was I to do - she was going to take it away from me!

Oh Jakey, we are so glad that you are not guilty. You are just way too cute to be guilty of that. You did do a number on that stuffy. You all have a great day.

Jakey, we need a pillow fort just like that - it looks so very comfy. We don't think Mom has ever given us something to dead on purpose, but we are quite good at doing that anyway:)

We knew you were not in trouble! Sometimes if mom sees us deading something she will just let us do it unless it is a newer toy.

That was proper squeaky toy procedure. Good job!

Millie and Walter said...

Walter loves to dead stuffies with parental permission. He too is very good about never swallowing any piece of them either so every once in a while we will bring one out and let him have his fun.

The Adventures of The Bell Fur Zoo said...

Oh yes I like to dead stuffies at least once a day. Daddy usually takes them away from me if I gets to carried away. Fun killer ;) BOL

Pierre is definitely a West Highland Terrier~ist. He will bite a hole and begin to de-stuff a toy in minutes. I keep a needle and thread at my desk. LOL!

Oh, Jakey! I am so totally with you! I love to do this, too -- and yes, Mom VERY closely monitors me. I am just now learning not to swallow things. Cam doesn't, because Cam is pretty much perfect. She never does ANYthing she shouldn't. Ever. How is that even possible? But anyway ... I LOVE ripping things up. Mom sits beside me and lets me just rip, rip, rip! It's wonderful!
